The Unification Ministry says North Korea has concluded a two-day inspection of the inter-Korean Gaeseong Industrial Complex.
A ministry official said Wednesday that the North’s probe on the industrial park is apparently over, as a group of inspectors left the industrial complex on Tuesday.
A policy chief from the North's National Defense Commission and seven others inspected the South’s management committee of the complex, a support center and four South Korean firms in the industrial park.
Attention is being drawn to what kind of follow-up measures the North will take, as the North Korean officials raised issue the first day of inspections with South Korean civic groups circulating anti-North Korean leaflets, saying the act was in violation of inter-Korean agreements.
